Who we are
Aperio Profiles is a trading name of Liberation Academy Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16087057), registered office 20 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU. These terms apply when you use the Workplace Bias Awareness Screener or this website as an individual. Organisations have a separate agreement with us.
Age requirement
You must be 18 or over to use the bias screener. If we learn that someone under 18 has bought or started the screener, we will cancel it and refund any payment they made.
What the service is
The bias screener is a self-report questionnaire for personal reflection and development. It looks at how you explain colleagues' behaviour, how you apply standards when you judge people and what you would do if you saw unfair treatment, across eight areas. Your results are generated from your own answers and reflect them at the time you completed it. It is not a clinical assessment, a diagnostic tool or a medical service.
What your results are not
Your results describe patterns in your answers on this occasion. They do not diagnose bias, prejudice or any psychological condition, they are not a measure of your character, and they are not medical or legal advice. They should not be used to make decisions about you or anyone else, including employment decisions.
Development suggestions
Your report includes practical suggestions for how you make judgements at work. They are for your own development. They do not create legal obligations for you, your employer or us, and they are not advice on what the Equality Act 2010 or any other law requires.
Payment and access
Individual access is bought as a one-off payment. The price is shown including VAT before you pay. An access code given to you by an employer or another organisation gives the same access. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.
Cancellation
If you buy access yourself, you have the right to cancel within 14 days without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The 14 days start on the day after you buy.
Because the screener is digital content, you can ask us to give you access straight away. When you buy, we ask you to confirm that request and that you understand you lose your right to cancel once you have started the screener. If you start the screener after asking for immediate access, the right to cancel ends. If you have not started it, you can still cancel within the 14 days.
To cancel, email hello@aperioprofiles.co.uk and tell us clearly that you want to cancel. You can use the model form below, but you do not have to. Your cancellation is in time if you send it before the 14 days end.
If you cancel in time, we will refund what you paid, using the same payment method, within 14 days of the day you tell us, and cancel your access code.

If something goes wrong
If a technical problem stops you completing the screener or receiving your results, contact us and we will put it right or give you a full refund. This does not affect your legal rights as a consumer.
Our responsibility to you
We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for decisions you or anyone else makes on the basis of your results, including employment, clinical or personal decisions. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
Your data
We handle your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. Before the screener starts, we show you a separate notice explaining how your answers are used and ask for your agreement. Accepting these terms is not that consent.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to you is the one in force when you bought or started the screener.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in your local courts.

If you are unhappy with anything, email hello@aperioprofiles.co.uk and we will look into it. For a data protection concern, you can also contact the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
